About Us

Philosophy & Staff

At Organic Beginnings, we believe that early learners thrive through exploration and play. Our play-based curriculum allows learning to emerge naturally by encouraging a child’s sense of wonder to guide their interaction with their environment, peers, and caregivers. We support and encourage our students to freely express themselves and their own organic beginning. Our caring and dedicated staff has been chosen for their education, experience, and genuine love of children. Trust and intimacy are best developed during routine caregiving. Our staff members give total, unhurried attention to each child.

All Staff members are certified in CPR/First Aid and required to pass all necessary background checks to ensure we have the tools to create the safest environment possible. We recognize that early childhood is a critical period of human development that lays the foundation for future learning. Our goal is to to provide a secure, nurturing, and stimulating environment, while engaging parents as partners in their child’s care and education.

Preschool & Pre-Kindergarten

For older toddlers and preschoolers, our philosophy remains the same. We strongly believe that exploration and experimentation are the most significant modes of learning and that child-initiated, adult-guided activities enable children to flourish. We place special emphasis on helping children develop increasingly complex social skills and encouraging them as they become members of a larger peer group.

As they grow, children are given increasingly more responsibility for self-help and for helping others in their classroom community. They are free to choose from classroom experiences that include cooking, science/sensory exploration, blocks, manipulatives, writing, dramatic/imaginative play, art, dance, movement and music. Our curriculum stimulates each child’s innate curiosity and exploratory nature to prepare children for lifelong learning. Our students graduate to elementary school socially prepared, excited to learn, and well equipped in the language, math, and science skills they’ll need to succeed throughout their academic career and in life.

Infants & Toddlers

The first few years of a child’s life should be filled with joyful experiences. Our infants and young toddlers feel secure, while being encouraged to discover the world around them. Our thoughtfully individualized curriculum is designed to promote development and learning through play and age appropriate activities. It allows caregivers to celebrate special milestones, and supports the transition from the sensory stage of infancy to the increasingly social and self-directed world of toddlers.

On a daily basis, learning opportunities are planned to promote each child’s growing independence. We are constantly working with our little ones to awaken their curiosity, while building the confidence needed to reach their individual potential and develop a love of learning and growing.
